Privacy Policy

Who we are

Chetana LLC ("Chetana," "we," "us") produces live music events, including the Chetana series in Brooklyn, New York. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you visit chetana.world (the "Site"), buy tickets to our events, receive our messages, attend our events, or otherwise interact with us (together, the "Services").

We sell tickets through third-party platforms, currently Posh (posh.vip) and DICE (dice.fm). Those platforms process your payment and account under their own privacy policies, and they share certain purchase information with us as the event organizer. This policy covers what Chetana does with that information and with everything else we collect.

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Services.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you email us, sign up for updates, join a guest list, apply to perform or work with us, or message us on social media, we collect what you provide. This typically includes your name, email address, phone number, social media handle and the content of your message.

Information from our ticketing partners. When you buy a ticket or season pass through Posh or DICE, the platform shares order details with us. These include your name, email address, phone number (if provided), ticket type, quantity, price paid, order identifiers, purchase date, the event, check-in status, and any marketing preferences you selected at checkout. We do not receive your full payment card number.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site or one of our event pages on a ticketing platform, we and our analytics and advertising partners collect information through cookies, pixels, tags and similar technologies. This includes IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and browser type, pages viewed, links clicked, referring URL, and ad click identifiers. See "Cookies, pixels and advertising" below.

Information from advertising and social platforms. Google and Meta report to us on how our ads perform, including aggregated or pseudonymous data about people who saw or clicked them. If you engage with our Instagram, YouTube or SoundCloud accounts, those platforms may share profile and engagement information with us according to your settings there.

Information collected at events. At entry, we, the venue or our ticketing partners scan your ticket and check government-issued ID to confirm you are 21 or older. Chetana does not keep copies of IDs. Some venues use their own ID-scanning or security camera systems under their own policies. We also photograph and film our events (see "Photography, video and recordings").

Sensitive information. We do not ask for sensitive personal information, and we ask that you not send it to us. If you request an accessibility accommodation, we use what you share only to provide that accommodation.

Cookies, pixels and advertising

We use cookies, pixels and similar technologies on the Site and on our event pages hosted by Posh and DICE. They help us understand traffic, measure which ads lead to ticket sales, and show our ads to people likely to be interested in our events.

Audience matching. We may share hashed (encoded) email addresses or phone numbers of ticket buyers and subscribers with Google and Meta. They use this to measure ad results and to show or exclude our ads to matching users, for example through Google Customer Match and Meta Custom Audiences. Hashing converts the data into a code before it is sent.

Your choices.

  • Visitors in the EU, UK and EEA see a cookie banner. Analytics and advertising cookies stay off until you accept them.
  • We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request to opt out of targeted advertising for that browser.
  • You can change your cookie choices at any time through the "Cookie settings" link in the Site footer.
  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of interest-based ads from many companies through the DAA, NAI or, in Europe, Your Online Choices.

Posh and DICE may set their own cookies and show their own consent tools on their pages. Their policies govern those.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Run our events. Confirm tickets, manage guest lists and entry, verify age, and tell you about schedule changes, venue updates, cancellations or refunds.
  • Communicate with you. Answer your questions and send messages about your orders.
  • Market our events. Send newsletters, announcements and texts you have agreed to receive, and run ads on Google, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook.
  • Understand and improve. See which events, artists and campaigns resonate, plan programming and capacity, and improve the Site.
  • Keep things safe and fair. Prevent fraud, ticket abuse and unauthorized resale, protect attendees, staff and artists, and enforce our terms.
  • Meet legal obligations. Keep records required for tax, accounting and legal purposes, and respond to lawful requests.

We may also create aggregated or de-identified information that no longer identifies you, and use it for any lawful purpose.

We do not sell personal information for money. Some US state laws treat our use of advertising pixels and audience matching as "selling," "sharing" or "targeted advertising." You can opt out as described in "Your US privacy rights."

How we share information

We share personal information only as described here:

  • Ticketing partners. Posh and DICE collect your information directly when you buy tickets and act as independent businesses with their own privacy policies, available on posh.vip and dice.fm. We share information with them as needed to manage orders, entry and refunds.
  • Venues. We share limited information, such as guest list names and attendance counts, with the venues hosting our events for entry, capacity and security.
  • Artists and co-promoters. We share aggregated attendance and sales figures. If you are on an artist's guest list, we share your name with that artist's team.
  • Service providers. Companies that host the Site, send our emails and texts, store our files, provide analytics, photograph or film our events, or advise us professionally. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
  • Advertising partners. Google and Meta, as described in "Cookies, pixels and advertising."
  • Sponsors. Only aggregated or de-identified information, unless you have agreed to hear from a sponsor directly.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law or legal process, or when we believe disclosure is needed to protect the rights, property or safety of Chetana, our attendees or others.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
  • With your consent. In any other case, when you ask or agree.

We do not share your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing.

Email and SMS marketing

Email. If you opt in at checkout or sign up for updates, we send news about upcoming events, lineups and presales. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. We will still send messages about tickets you have bought, even after you unsubscribe.

Text messages. If you opt in to texts, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing messages from Chetana at the number you provide. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

  • Reply STOP at any time to cancel. You will receive one confirmation message and no further marketing texts.
  • Reply HELP for help, or email info@chetana.world.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that send messages on our behalf.

Photography, video and recordings

Our events are photographed, filmed and sometimes streamed or recorded. We publish this content on the Site, Instagram, YouTube, SoundCloud and in promotional materials. By attending, you acknowledge that you may appear in it, and you allow Chetana to use recordings that include your image, likeness and voice to document and promote our events, without compensation, to the extent permitted by law.

If you would rather not be featured, tell our photographer or staff at the event. If you appear in something we have published and want it removed, email info@chetana.world with a link. We will remove or edit it where reasonably possible and stop using it going forward. We cannot recall printed materials or content others have reposted.

Your US privacy rights

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, New Jersey and other states with consumer privacy laws have specific rights over their personal information. We honor the requests below from anyone in the United States, whatever state you live in.

  • Know and access. Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
  • Correct. Ask us to fix inaccurate information.
  • Delete. Ask us to delete your information, subject to legal exceptions such as records we must keep for tax purposes.
  • Portability. Receive your information in a usable format.
  • Opt out. Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your information and of targeted advertising. We do not use sensitive personal information in ways that require a right to limit.
  • Equal treatment. We will not deny you service or charge you differently for using these rights.

How to make a request. Email info@chetana.world with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. To protect you, we verify requests by matching the email address and order details we hold. You may use an authorized agent, who must show written permission from you. We respond within 45 days, and will tell you if we need more time where the law allows.

Opting out of targeted advertising. Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, use the "Cookie settings" link in the Site footer, or email us. Opting out through Google and Meta settings also limits the ads you see from us.

Appeals. If we deny your request, reply to our decision with "Appeal" in the subject line. We will respond within the time your state's law requires. If you are not satisfied, you can contact your state attorney general.
